Course description

“Computer Graphics and Visual Effects” is a 10-week course, where the main focus is on principles of computer graphics and image editing, through applications of digital image editing and graphic software programs, design concepts and developing physical, technical skills required to work with computer graphics.

Course goal(s)

Course goal is to provide a solid background in computer graphics and image editing for computer science, telecommunication and information security, media technologies students, in preparation either for a job in industry or for more advanced courses at the graduate level.

• To understand the basics of compute graphics and image editing, graphic elements;
• To improve understanding of difference between vector and raster graphics;
• To know principles of image editing;
• To analyze workflows in industry related to computer graphics
